Michael Scott Mater Foundation

The Michael Scott Mater Foundation is a new nonprofit organization, based in North Carolina, with a global mission to improve education for poor students. We are working with Mater's staff in Iraq to provide English as a Second Language material for students and teachers at Dhi Qar University in Nasiriyah. This will enhance the value of an engineering exchange program between Dhi Qar and Oregon State University, organized by the Mater Foundation, which is aimed at preparing the next generation of professionals for rebuilding Iraqi infrastructure.
