Volunteer Opportunities
As specific volunteer opportunities become available, we will announce them here and on our mailing list. Please subscribe to the mailing list to stay updated.
We currently need or anticipate needing help from volunteers with skills in the following areas:
- graphic design
- videography
- publicity
- translation from English to other languages
If you have any matching skills, please tell us. We would also like to hear from you, if you have personal connections with:
- corporate public relations or charitable giving officers
- publishing company executives
- booksellers
- groups of hobbyists or enthusiasts, who might like to organize an event related to their interest to benefit reading relief
- media personalities
- celebrities who might be interested in reading relief
If you would like to help us with skills or through connections not mentioned here, please do tell us, but keep in mind that we might not be able to utilize your help, yet. We do not want to waste our volunteers' time, and will only ask for your help if we think it will make a significant difference.
At the minimum, you can help us right now by:
- telling your friends about Book Wish
- using the bookmark button to add us to social bookmarking or news sites, like Stumbleupon, del.icio.us, or Digg
- friending us at MySpace or Facebook
- sharing your thoughts on reading-related topics
